OUR HISTORY

Eye Consultants was founded 30 years ago in 1980 by David N. Cohen, M.D. Over the next few decades, Dr. Cohen established his reputation among the Inland Northwest as the area´s premier LASIK surgeon. He believed in excellence in eye care and worked vigorously to expand the clinical and surgical sides of the practice. The EyeTech Laser Center was opened in 2001.

With the state-of-the-art EyeTech surgical suite established, Eye Consultants soon became the highest volume LASIK center in Spokane and the surrounding areas. Renowned for the highest quality of patient care and a standard of excellences, EyeTech Laser Center has treated patients from all over the globe. Patients as far away as Germany, Ukraine, Costa Rica and Ireland have all traveled far and wide to have their LASIK procedures done at Eye Consultants & the EyeTech Laser Center! Even one of the VISX laser engineers flew his wife up from Utah to have her LASIK procedure performed at Eye Consultants because of our experience, compassionate patient care, and unsurpassed surgical outcomes.

In 2008, Dr. Gary Fillmore took ownership of Eye Consultants & the EyeTech Laser Center and continues that commitment to clinical and surgical excellence. Dr. Fillmore brought valuable experience gained as a surgeon with the highly regarded Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program while serving as an officer in the United States Army.

We are not a nationwide retail LASIK chain where patients are numbers; each patient is important to us.
